With the support of Culturesfrance, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and Communication, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Ministry of Health, Youth, Sport and Associations and the French Centre for Cinematography (CNC), and in partnership with Orange, the Tour de France of European filmmakers highlights the richness and diversity of European cinema and gives French cinema audiences the opportunity to discover 27 films from throughout Europe and also to meet their directors.

To date, 24 films have been selected.

This event makes it possible for provincial cinemas in particular to welcome European filmmakers who rarely get the chance to present their films in those regions.
The tour is hosted primarily by the theatres of the Europa Cinemas network, extending from Nancy to Bordeaux and from Toulouse to Lille. Europa Cinemas, supported by the European Union’s MEDIA programme and the CNC, is the leading international cinema network when it comes to scheduling mainly European films.

The tour began on 4 July with the preview of the film Christopher Columbus, The Enigma at the Latina in Paris, in the presence of Manoel de Oliveira, followed by screenings of Happy-Go-Lucky in the presence of Mike Leigh, on 8 July at the MK2 Bibliothèque and on 10 July at the Majestic in Lille.

The dates of the screenings and meetings will be announced here (please see the French version of this page) and on the following sites as they are confirmed:

- Orange: tdf.en-ville.orange.fr
